Join the TU For Our First Strategic Planning Workshop
Dear Friends,
With our summer crisis behind us, it’s time to build a new, stronger, more sustainable Tenants Union.
If you are passionate about tenants rights and you want to contribute to the long-term vision of the Tenants Union, we need you!
On Thursday, December 17th (6pm to 8pm), the TU will begin work to answer fundamental questions about the kind of tenants services we will provide (tenant counseling and community organizing, for example) and the kind of membership organization we will be.
Our strategic planning process will take us into March. The questions we will ask go to the heart of who we are as a housing justice organization. And 30 years after our creation, you can help to build a new TU that will endure for decades to come.
What do we need from you?
- An open mind as we think about making (radical) changes to the TU
- A willingness to engage in constructive conversations on the direction of the TU
Our first meeting will be at Plymouth Housing Group, in Belltown, Downtown Seattle. 2117 3rd Avenue.
If you are interested in joining us, or you can’t attend but would like to participate, please contact the TU’s executive director, John Lang, at TenantsUnionWA@gmail.com.
